LAINEY'S CHARDONNAY MINT JULEP RECIPE
Introducing my Chardonnay Wine Jelly Mint Julep – a concoction that's as refreshing as a Southern breeze. You see, being from South Carolina, I've always had a soft spot for the traditional Mint Julep. But since I'm now in the Berkshires, I wanted to add a touch of local flair to it. That's when inspiration struck – why not infuse my favorite Berkshire find, the Chardonnay Wine Jelly from Berkshire Wine Jelly Co, into this beloved cocktail?
The result is pure magic. Imagine the smooth notes of Chardonnay elegantly blending with the refreshing hint of mint, all perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. And that's where the wine jelly comes in, bringing a delicate sweetness infused with hints of lemon and rosemary. It's a match made in cocktail heaven!
To create this masterpiece, start by muddling a handful of fresh mint leaves right in the Chardonnay Wine Jelly – let those aromas mingle in a dance of flavor. Fill your glass with crushed ice, packing it in to keep things perfectly chilled. Pour in a generous 2 ounces of your favorite bourbon, allowing it to mix and mingle with the minty wine jelly goodness.
Give it a gentle stir, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, and voilà – you have a cocktail that's not only visually stunning but also a true delight for your taste buds. I love how this twist on a classic cocktail reflects my journey from the South to the Berkshires, bringing together flavors from both places in a harmonious sip.
