Chardonnay Lemon Bars

Chardonnay Lemon Bars

These Chardonnay Lemon Bars are nothing short of exquisite. With a delicate shortbread crust and a tangy yet sweet filling infused with the fragrant flavors of lemon and rosemary, these bars are simply irresistible!

What truly sets them apart is the addition of our Chardonnay with Lemon & Rosemary Wine Jelly - the wine jelly brings a subtle yet nuanced depth of flavor to each bite. These bars are a perfect dessert to serve with a glass of chilled Chardonnay. Trust us, it will be hard to resist a second (or third) helping.

Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (also works with plant alternatives like “Earth Balance”)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup Chardonnay with Lemon & Rosemary Wine Jelly - Order Now!
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest
powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or your hands, cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse sand.

Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

While the crust is baking, prepare the filling. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, Chardonnay with Lemon & Rosemary Wine Jelly, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined.

Pour the filling over the warm crust and return the dish to the oven. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.

Let the lemon bars cool completely in the dish before slicing into squares. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
